PKI Login What is PKI Login?

If you have a card reader attached to your workstation or have a digital certificate provided by a DoD External Certificate Authority (ECA) installed on your computer, you are ready for two-factor authentication into CPARS. You may use any authorized agency-provided HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Card, DoD Common Access Card (CAC), or digital certificate issued by a DoD ECA. PIV, CAC, and DoD digital certificate logins are more secure and faster than the single-factor User ID and Password mechanism and should be used whenever possible.

To use your card or certificate, you still need to have a CPARS account. Once you have an account, CPARS will help you associate the card or certificate with your User ID and Password.

You only need to go through the registration and card/certificate association process once. The CPARS System will walk you through the entire process. Please be sure to have your User ID and Password available the first time.
